Computational Scientist II

The Fountain Group is currently seeking a Computational Scientist II for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in South San Francisco, CA. Details for the position are as follows:

Job Description:

• Pay rate up to $62.94 Per Hour 
• 8 Month Contract to Begin 
• FULLY ONSITE 
• Analyze large-scale single-cell sequencing and perturbation datasets (e.g., scRNA-seq, Perturb-seq, CROP-seq, Sci-Plex).
• Develop computational workflows and perform statistical analyses using Python.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to interpret results and drive research decisions.
• Present findings and contribute to scientific publications.

Qualifications:

• PhD required in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative or life sciences field.
• Experience analyzing large-scale scRNA-seq and CRISPR perturbation datasets.
• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Solid background in statistics, probabilistic modeling, and data analysis.
• Experience with Perturb-seq/CROP-seq, multimodal data integration, Nextflow or Snakemake, and HPC/SLURM is preferred.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and scientific publication record.
