Position Summary

A Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist is a CT professional that is qualified by professional credentialing: academic and clinical experience to provide diagnostic patient care services using CT and related diagnostic CT procedures. The scope of practice of the CT Technologist includes those procedures, acts and processes permitted by law, for which the individual has received education and clinical experience, has demonstrated competency, and has completed the appropriate ARRT (R),(CT) registry(s) which is the standard of practice in Radiology.

Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide services appropriate to the age, disease process, cultural and spiritual needs of the patient.

Minimum Requirements

  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
  • Current R.T. (R) (CT) certification by American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) or registry eligible.
  • A minimum one year previous experience in radiology.
  • Annual ECU Health Beaufort Hospital requirements

IV certification.

  • Must be physically capable of carrying out all assigned duties as outlined in "Physical Demands Analysis" for position.
  • Emotional and physical health sufficient to meet the demands of the position.
  • Sharp visual and audible skills.
