Computed Tomography Technologist - Contract

Title: CT Technologist

Location: Winston-Salem North Carolina 27157

Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift: 10hr Day Shift - 40

Shift Information: 4x10s, 7a-530p

Clinical Interviewing- Yes - Manager to conduct final interview

On Call, Call Back Requirements: At least 2 call rotations per travel assignment or picking up vacancies Would fit into rotation – can be discussed during the final interview

Weekend Rotation: No

Holiday Requirements: At least 1 holiday during 1 travel assignment preferred

Floating Requirements: Main Reynold's Tower and Cancer Center

Department Information:

• Census: Average patients/day: Main Tower 24/7 80-110, Cancer Center 60-80

Minimum Years of Experience required: 1 year of CT

• Will you accept a first-time traveler: Yes, if CT experience

Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:

• Adult and pediatric inpatient & outpatient: cardiac, procedures, stroke, aneurysm, bowel ischemia, pancreatitis, transplant, cirrhosis, kidney, metastatic evaluation, comprehensive cancer center, traumatic brain injury, heart disease, fractures, pneumonia, thrombus, lymphoma, tumors and lesions, bleeds, peripheral vascular disease

Required License, National Certification, Certs (BLS, ACLS, etc.), or other position specific requirements such as Driver's License and/or Insurance:

• BLS
• ARRT-CT

Skills required:

• IV start
• Sliding/ceiling lift for patients
• Code stroke
• Arterial scans
• Routine scans
• Inpatients
• Pediatrics
• ICU/trauma patients
• Handling drains, lines, tubing
• Quick paced working with heavy volume of inpatient/outpatient
• Administering contrast material through peripheral IV's and power ports/PICCS
• Radiation safety
• Teammate communication
• Running the desk, facilitating workflow, sending for patients, answering phone
• Cardiac experience preferred not required
• Siemen's Alpha Photon Counting preferred but not required
• Procedure experience preferred not required

Support within the Department:

• CT Supervisor
• 3rd shift will work independently

Technology/Equipment:

• EMR: EPIC

Department specific Equipment: Siemen's Flash, Siemen's Force, Client Apex Revolution, Client Client Project, Client Discovery, Siemen's Alpha Photon Counting, Intellispace PACS

Floating: If yes, where:

• Main Tower and Cancer Center

Orientation (facility and unit):

• NEO
• 2 days departmental
• First 2 weeks training in department on required scanners
