We’re seeking an experienced CT Technologist for a permanent role at an outpatient imaging center in Montclair, NJ where you will be responsible for accurately following physician scanning instructions, administering contrast materials when indicated, and operating CT equipment to produce diagnostic-quality images while providing patient-centered care.
Minimum Requirements:
- Completion of a JRCERT-accredited radiologic technology program or equivalent.
- Current ARRT (R) certification required. ARRT (CT) certification required or obtained per state regulations.
- State licensure as required by New Jersey regulations.
- BLS certification as required by state regulations.
- At least 1 year of diagnostic imaging experience preferred, with CT experience preferred.
- Experience positioning patients, administering IV contrast, and operating power injectors.
- Ability to evaluate images for technical quality and transmit to PACS.
- Experience assisting radiologists with imaging and interventional procedures is preferred.
- Willingness to work days. Schedule: Monday–Friday 8:30 AM–5:00 PM and every 3rd Saturday 8:30 AM–12:30 PM.

Job Responsibilities:
- Perform complex specialized tasks associated with CT scanner operation and related equipment following radiation safety procedures.
- Position patients for CT exams using immobilization and protective equipment as necessary.
- Assist the radiologist with imaging and interventional procedures, start IVs, and administer contrast when authorized.
- Operate power injectors and load contrast media for administration.
- Evaluate CT images for technical quality, collate processed images, label appropriately, and transmit to PACS.
- Maintain accurate patient records and document contrast administration.
- Provide orientation and training to new CT technologists as assigned.
- Monitor patient well-being during scans and take appropriate action for discomfort or medical issues.
- Apply ALARA principles to minimize radiation dose and report any over-exposures to management promptly.
- Deliver courteous and professional care to patients and family members.

- Chief Technologist, Site Manager, or CT Modality Specialist.
Shift:
- Days. Monday–Friday 8:30 AM–5:00 PM. Every third Saturday 8:30 AM–12:30 PM.
