QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiography Program.
  • Current New York State License in Radiography.
  • New York State certification to administer contrast media.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Radiography.
  • ARRT certification in Computed Tomography (CT).
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of diagnostic imaging experience.
  • Proficiency with EMR, RIS, HIS, PACS, and modality-specific imaging software.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform CT imaging examinations according to physician orders and departmental protocols.
  • Prepare, position, and educate patients prior to imaging procedures.
  • Administer and monitor contrast media in accordance with established policies and certification requirements.
  • Start peripheral IVs and perform venipuncture as needed for contrast-enhanced studies.
  • Operate CT imaging equipment and associated software to acquire high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Perform image post-processing, including:Multiplanar Reconstruction (MPR)
  • Region of Interest (ROI) measurements
  • 3D Rendering, Volume Rendering, Surface Shaded Displays, and Maximum Intensity Projections (MIP)
  • Conduct specialized CT examinations, including:Abdomen and pelvis studies
  • Enterography and colorectal imaging
  • Head, neck, carotid, and sinus imaging
  • Spine and musculoskeletal imaging
  • Chest, vascular, pulmonary embolism, and aortic studies
  • Brain perfusion and Coronary CTA procedures
  • Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards and infection prevention protocols.
  • Accurately document procedures within Epic and other imaging information systems.
  • Review images for quality, completeness, and diagnostic accuracy before submission.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and interdisciplinary teams to facilitate patient care and workflow efficiency.
  • Participate in continuing education and maintain all required certifications and licensure.
