Louisiana Christian University's School of Education and Behavioral Sciences is seeking applicants for an Assistant/Associate Professor of Social Work full-time tenure-track position for our MSW program beginning August 1, 2025. Rank will be determined by the qualifications of the successful applicant. The ability to teach graduate courses delivered in face-to-face, online, and hybrid formats is required. Specialization is open although those applications indicating research and/or clinical experience have a strong advantage. The University offers both BSW and MSW degrees which are accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE). The position may require teaching some courses in the undergraduate program. LCU's primary mission is teaching from a faith-informed perspective. The university seeks faculty who are active Christians whose biblical worldview guides their teaching and research. Duties & Responsibilities: Applicants need to demonstrate abilities to engage students in learning both in the classroom and online. The responsibilities of the position include teaching, advising, participating in program assessment, student recruitment, and committee responsibilities. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain an effective working relationship with the administration, faculty, staff, students, alumni, and the community to promote the vision of the MSW Program. Qualifications:
MSW degree from CSWE accredited program DSW, or PhD in social work or related field from a nationally or regionally accredited university. Hold a Louisiana social work license/certification (RSW, LMSW, LCSW) and be in good standing OR must be eligible for licensing in the state of Louisiana and obtain this license prior to the start of teaching Two years of post-MSW clinical experience preferred Experience with CSWE accreditation preferred Demonstrated teaching excellence Excellent communication, interpersonal, and management skills An ability to integrate Christian faith into traditional teaching and coursework.
