Job Summary
The Computer Science department at Oberlin College is seeking a Lab Manager for a full-time Administrative and Professional Staff position for a term of one-year with the possibility for renewal.
The incumbent would oversee student peer tutors and graders for introductory and core Computer Science courses. The incumbent will be responsible for coordinating between instructors and student support staff, supporting instructors in creating and updating assignments, and training students in how to be effective peer tutors.
Responsibilities
Hiring and training Computer Science peer tutors for Introductory and core Computer Science courses
Coordinate student graders for introductory computer science courses, and assist with grading lab assignments
Coordinate assignment instructions and resources for introductory computer science courses, including working to coordinate assignment changes through github and publishing them to the web
Assisting with creating and scheduling student events to aid in community building and student retention
