Electro-Active Technologies is seeking a Computer Science intern to start in the next one-two months to assist with changes in code and systems maintenance for our waste-to-hydrogen systems. Our control system includes circuits with several sensors and electrochemical devices which facilitate production of renewable hydrogen from a waste stream. We use a modified (bio)electrolysis process which requires management of several process conditions. Knowledge or experience in code development, maintenance and debugging of software for controlling power electronics and electrical systems is desirable.Job OverviewMaintain software for Electro-Active process control systemDevelop updates to software for facilitating changes in system operation and process flows optimizing conversion of waste to hydrogen.Support prototyping and new hardware developmentEnsure data quality, monitoring and integrity of assigned tasks.Minimum QualificationsCurrently enrolled in BS Computer Science or higher, equivalent discipline (Computer Engineering, Data Science, Electrical Engineering) with experience in programming C++, Python, etc.A basic understanding of control systems and systems engineering for electrical devices [relevant co-op, internship, or thesis experience is desirable]Desirable QualificationsExperience in code development for managing Arduino, other microcontrollers and higher level circuit systemsKnowledge of sensors and process control to manage electrical and electronics systemsFuel cell, electrolysis or other electrochemical system design and test experienceYour contributions to design and code will contribute to solving the most important problems the world faces today: Climate Change. It will involve using the latest and most complex technical updates in the areas of bioelectrochemical process control, distributed energy production systems, data management, automation, and optimization.#J-18808-Ljbffr
