Position Overview:

The Department of Computer Science seeks a Student Worker to support student learning in a specified Computer Science course. This role helps ensure student success in the course, and allows the student worker to gain a deeper understanding of course concepts.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide appropriate level of academic assistance to individual or small groups of students
  • Work with course instructor(s) to ensure adherence to TCNJ''s and the course''s academic integrity policies
  • Attend departmental training session(s) and maintain logs as needed
  • Other responsibilities may be determined by each course instructor

Learning Objectives:

  • Provide quality assistance to students and course instructor
  • Gain an understanding of professionalism and confidence working in an academic environment
  • Gain a deeper understanding of concepts with which they are providing assistance

Required Qualifications:

  • Sophomore, Junior, or Senior Computer Science majors only
  • Completion of CSC 220, CSC 230, and CSC 270.
  • Strong communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Completion of additional advanced Computer Science courses
