Job Duties/Scope Of Work
Solution Design & Application Development:
•Develop and enhance Power Platform applications—including Canvas and Model driven apps—using modern design practices and established HMIS standards.
•Translate requirements into structured solution designs that balance user experience, maintainability, and long-term scalability.
•Implement application components, forms, views, and logic using appropriate platform tools and recommended patterns.
Data Integration & Connectivity:
•Build solutions that interact with Dataverse, SharePoint, and other enterprise data sources.
•Support integrations with on-premises systems through gateway connectivity to ensure consistent and reliable data access.
•Apply sound data-handling practices that promote consistency, accuracy, and performance.
Workflow Automation & Platform Logic:
•Create Power Automate flows that improve business processes and enhance application functionality.
•Contribute to the development of modular automation patterns and assist in optimizing reliability and error handling.
Standards, Quality, & Documentation:
•Follow established HMIS design standards and development conventions, including naming patterns, reporting styles, and common component usage.
•Participate in documenting application behavior, change history, and troubleshooting guides.
•Apply consistent quality practices, including testing, validation, and proactive monitoring during development cycles.
Collaboration & Customer Engagement:
•Work with project managers, subject matter experts, and business stakeholders to understand functional needs and provide clear communication on technical capabilities.
•Participate in Agile ceremonies, stand-ups, backlog grooming, and collaborative design sessions.
•Support user adoption through demonstrations, knowledge sharing, and hands-on guidance where appropriate.
Continuous Learning & Growth:
•Remain current with evolving Power Platform features, integration capabilities, and Microsoft best practices.
•Seek opportunities to improve development patterns, contribute to team standards, and enhance solution reliability.
•Demonstrate a learning-focused mindset by working closely with senior developers to strengthen technical depth over time.
Basic Qualifications
•BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; -OR- equivalent combination of education and related experience.
•At least 6 years of relevant experience in application development or software engineering.
•Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote, distributed environment.
•Foundational proficiency in Power Apps (Canvas and Model-driven), Power Automate, and Power BI.
•Understanding of Dataverse, SharePoint, REST APIs, and cloud/on-prem data integration concepts.
•Ability to work a regular, full time, 40-hour week Monday-Thursday 6:00am – 4:30pm.
•US Citizenship required.
•Ability to obtain and maintain a PIV (HSPD-12) credential.
Desired Qualifications
•Exposure to Azure Synapse Analytics or related data engineering environments.
•Experience with DevOps or Agile development tools (e.g., Azure Boards).
•Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric and emerging Power Platform features.
•Understanding of Hanford Site applications or operational contexts.

A candidate’s salary history will not be used in compensation decisions. The salary range listed represents the full range of salary that may be offered.
This position may be required to complete a probationary period. Benefits for eligible employees will begin on day one.
