Ashland Middle School is seeking a passionate, innovative, and student-centered Computer Teacher to join our faculty for the 2026-2027 school year.
The successful candidate will provide engaging instruction in computer science, digital literacy, and technology applications to middle school students. The ideal candidate will inspire curiosity, foster problem-solving and computational thinking skills, and help students become responsible and effective users of technology.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging instruction in computer science, digital literacy, coding, and technology applications aligned with district and state standards.
- Design learning experiences that promote creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving.
- Integrate project-based learning and real-world applications into instruction.
- Teach responsible digital citizenship and online safety practices.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners.
- Assess student learning and provide timely, meaningful feedback.
- Maintain a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and administrators to promote student success.
- Participate in professional learning and school-based initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor''s degree required; Master''s degree preferred.
- Massachusetts teaching license in Digital Literacy and Computer Science (5-12) or appropriate licensure preferred.
- Experience teaching middle school students preferred.
- Knowledge of computer science concepts, coding, digital tools, and emerging technologies.
- Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
- Commitment to equity, inclusion, and fostering a positive learning environment for all students.
