Computer Technician

The PositionWest Chester Township has an immediate need to fill a Computer Technician position. Under the general guidance and direction of the Director of Communications and Information Technology, the Computer Technician will provide help desk services for all users with any hardware or software issues, including break-fix, new installs and/or upgrades.  They will perform daily maintenance and inspection of all Township networks and systems such asVMware servers, wireless networks, workstation updates or errors. This includes Windows updates, Firmware updates or Software and OS upgrades.  They will identify areas for improvement, such as network speeds or hardware upgrades and clean up.This position will support all departments of our local government, including Police, Fire, Dispatch, Community Services, Community Development, and Administration. The ideal candidate will have strong written and verbal communication skills, the ability to be analytical and problem-solve, and the ability to exercise sound judgment.A standard schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:30am – 4:30pm.
