The Cascade IT Team has a full-time Computing Technology Specialist position available. This position has a work schedule of Monday - Friday 8am-5pm. The primary work location will be at PCC''s Downtown Center building but the person in this position will also work at PCC''s Cascade campus.
A Computing Technology Specialist provides end-user technology support in a complex network environment. They are responsible for maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of computer hardware, operating systems, devices, and software as part of a collaborative technical support team.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements
Work pressure and interruptions occur on an ongoing basis, due to competing priorities and deadlines. Physical and ergonomic environments change often. Must be able to lift and work on equipment that may be located in tight and poorly lighted spaces, such as under desks, in closets, or in other confined areas. Lifting and moving of computer components and peripherals weighing up to 40 pounds is sometimes required. Work requires occasional periods of sustained effort and crawling under desks and confined spaces to install/uninstall and/or move equipment across campus. Must be able to interact professionally with distraught or reactive individuals.

How We Determine Initial Salary Placement
The first two steps of the range are: $64,735 and $66,678 per year. Higher salary placement may be available based on qualifications, experience and internal equity.

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act), you may view Portland Community College's (PCC) most recent Annual Security Report (ASR) on the Department of Public Safety website. The ASR contains current security and safety-related policy disclosure statements, emergency preparedness and evacuation information, crime prevention and sexual assault prevention information and resources, and drug and alcohol prevention programming. The ASR also contains crime statistics for Clery Act crimes which occurred on PCC properties for the last three calendar years. Paper copies of the ASR are available upon request at all Department of Public Safety offices.
