This role involves handling cash and card transactions, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and ensuring compliance with food safety and (where applicable) alcohol service regulations.Key ResponsibilitiesGreet guests and take orders accurately and courteouslyOperate point-of-sale (POS) system to process cash, credit, and mobile paymentsCount and balance cash drawer at the start and end of each shiftPrepare and serve food and beverage items according to portion and quality standardsRestock supplies, cups, condiments, and packaging as neededMaintain cleanliness of counters, equipment, and dining/service areas throughout the shiftFollow food safety and sanitation guidelines (proper handwashing, temperature checks, safe food handling)Resolve minor customer concerns and escalate larger issues to a supervisorFollow all cash-handling and loss-prevention proceduresQualificationsPrior cashier, retail, or food service experience preferred but not requiredBasic math skills and comfort handling money accuratelyAbility to operate a POS/register system (training provided)Food handler's certification a plus, or willingness to obtain oneStrong communication and customer service skillsPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand for extended periods (up to full shift length)Ability to lift up to 25–30 lbs (cases of product, supplies)Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, including evenings, weekends, and holidaysWork EnvironmentConcession stand/food service area; may include exposure to heat from cooking equipmentFast-paced, especially during peak event timesScheduleFlexible availability required, including nights, weekends, and event days
