Position Overview
The primary responsibility of the Concierge - Milano is to provide anticipatory and personalized service to guests staying in Milano suites at The Palazzo. The Concierge - Milano will prepare all aspects of the guest arrival, welcome the guest(s) upon arrival, escort to the Milano Lounge and provide any assistance needed throughout their stay. The Concierge - Milano will also ensure to assist the guest(s) with a seamless departure, including an invitation to return.
All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian Resort's policies, practices, and procedures.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Coordination with the VIP team for the suite to be ready upon arrival.
- Ensure Luggage Agent is present and ready to deliver guest belongings to suite.
- Welcome guests to the property in a professional and upbeat manner.
- Escort guest(s) from the Porte Cochere to the Milano Lounge or the suite and provide a brief orientation to the areas, including operating hours.
- Provide guest itinerary with show, restaurant and Spa reservations and offer additional services by providing the Milano business card with 24-hour Milano contact information.
- In lounge or in-suite provide welcome beverage & refreshing towel
- Provide an orientation to the property and assist with any questions guests may have.
- Anticipatory Service anticipate guests' needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests.
- Understand and follow guidelines for correct maintenance and use of equipment, and use equipment only as intended.
- Must maintain a positive attitude toward work and interface with hotel guests in a congenial and polite manner.
- Maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance adhering to Company dress and grooming standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
- Safety is an essential function of this job.

Minimum Qualifications
- 21 years of age.
- Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.
- High school Diploma or equivalent.
- Possess the ability to focus attention on guest needs and deal effectively with all business contacts.
- Possess skills to expedite clerical processing, perform a service, evaluate information, and take action based upon information to complete a task or assignment or activity.
- Working knowledge of property management systems like LMS preferred.
- At least (1) year of experience in a position that deals with customers one-on-one.
- At least (1) year of experience in luxury hospitality, VIP services, front desk operations, or high-end guest relations is preferred.
- Ability to work with others, communicate well and give direction when needed to achieve department goals and objectives.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both in spoken and written form.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.
- Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.

- Ability to lift or carry a minimum of 25 pounds, unassisted, in the performance of specific tasks assigned.

- Maintain composure under pressure and consistently meet deadlines with internal and external customers and contacts.
- Ability to interact appropriately and effectively with guests, management, other team members, and outside contacts.
- Ability for prolonged periods of time to walk, stand, stretch, bend and kneel
- Work in a fast-paced and busy environment.
- Must be willing to work outdoors in seasonal heat (100F+) or cold as well as inclement weather or adverse weather conditions.
- Work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, CRT, noise, dust, and cigarette smoke.
