Front Desk Assistant - Showalter Center - PRN

The purpose of this position is to provide clerical support to health care center personnel and to provide all facility contacts with prompt, courteous attention to their requests. This position performs secretarial duties, record keeping, administrative detail and follow-up functions to assist administration.

Requirements:

  • Able to work in a team setting and independently as well.
  • Outstanding organizational skills, dependable, detail oriented, and ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a forward-facing customer service role.
  • Experience with a multi-line phone system.

Job duties include:

  • Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest, and positive emphasis throughout the facility.
  • Screen individuals entering the building, including but not limited to: visitors, members of the public, vendors, and family members. Exercise good judgement in granting entrance.
  • Answer the building's primary telephone and direct all incoming calls appropriately.
  • Answer all inquiries according to facility release of information policies and procedures.
