Position Summary -Pay Range $24.00 - $26.54/hour
The Concierge is responsible for providing personalized service to all guests. The individual must be able to answer guests’ questions about Napa Valley Attractions and local events, make restaurant, wineries, and transportation reservations, have a thorough knowledge of the hotels’ facilities.
Essential Functions
- Must adhere to the company’s Service culture – 4 Keys to creating guests for life.
- Must participate in all hotel required meetings and trainings.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform/business attire and nametag.
- Have an in-depth knowledge or access to information regarding directions, travel time, cost and various forms of transportation.
- Maintain a constantly updated database with extensive information about local events.
- Be knowledgeable of all VIP arriving guests.
- Be aware of all daily events in the hotel.
- Arrange tickets for various attractions as necessary.
- Make and confirm dining reservations.
- Make and confirm all transportation arrangements with contracted transportation agency.
- Communicate all important details to management and colleagues, throughout the hotel
- Disseminate information of relevance within the department
- Must have strong communication skills and able to deal with various types of guests.
- Have a thorough knowledge of direction to various destinations within Napa Valley.
- Provide clear directions for all guests travelling outside the hotel.
- Respond to all guest requests within timely manner.
- Abide by all hotel policies and safety rules.
- Perform other duties as requested by management.
Qualifications
- Former experience in a similar role in a hotel setting is preferred.
- In depth knowledge of Napa Valley attractions and hidden gems and is a must.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is preferred.
Working Conditions and Schedule
- Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
- Light work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
- Must be able to spend 75% of workday sitting, standing intermittently, and bending.
- Requires manual coordination to operate computer and other business equipment.
