    Position Overview

    We are seeking an experienced and skilled Concrete Carpenter to join our dynamic construction team. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of concrete formwork construction, blueprint interpretation, and form-setting techniques. This full-time position requires a dedicated professional who takes pride in precision workmanship and maintains the highest standards of safety and quality in all concrete carpentry operations. As a Concrete Carpenter, you will play a crucial role in constructing the structural foundations and concrete elements that form the backbone of our construction projects.

    Key Responsibilities

    Form Construction and Installation

    • Construct, erect, install, and dismantle concrete forms, falsework, and scaffolding systems according to project specifications and engineering drawings
    • Build custom formwork for walls, columns, beams, slabs, footings, and other structural concrete elements using wood, metal, and specialized forming systems
    • Ensure all forms are properly aligned, leveled, plumbed, and braced to withstand the pressure of wet concrete and maintain dimensional accuracy
    • Install form ties, spreaders, walers, and strongbacks to reinforce formwork and prevent bulging or displacement during concrete placement
    • Apply form release agents to facilitate easy stripping and protect form surfaces for reuse

    Blueprint Reading and Layout

    • Read and interpret architectural and structural blueprints, drawings, specifications, and shop drawings to determine formwork requirements
    • Perform accurate layout work using measuring tools, laser levels, transits, and surveying equipment to establish reference points and elevations
    • Calculate dimensions, quantities, and material requirements based on blueprint specifications
