JOB DESCRIPTIONS
Apprentice:
Assists in all phases of concrete work under supervision of a journeyman or
superintendent. Follow all company safety rules. Required tools & equipment supplied
by the employee: heavy duty work gloves, rubber boots, safety glasses, ear protection,
rain gear, hard hat, tool belt with hammer, pliers, tape measure. Responsible for daily
cleanup of jobsites. Range of hourly pay before deductions: $20-$28 per hour,
depending on experience and performance.
Journeyman:
Works independently under supervision of the field superintendent. Ability to perform
all work required to place concrete: read plans, layout foundations, fabricate rebar, set
forms, place anchor bolts and hold downs, supervise pours. Supervises laborers.
Responsible for compliance with company safety rules, for self and others on site.
Required tools & equipment supplied by employee: heavy duty work gloves, rubber
boots, safety glasses, ear protection, rain gear, hard hat, tool belt and hand tools
normally required for this work, including skill saws. Responsible for daily cleanup of
jobsites. Range of hourly pay before deductions: $25-40 per hour, depending on
experience and performance.
