Build quality from the ground up! JKT Development, Inc. is seeking an experienced Concrete Finisher to join our team. In this hands-on role, you'll pour, level, finish, and repair concrete on a variety of commercial and residential projects, including roads, sidewalks, curbs, floors, and other concrete structures. Schedule:

Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM-5:00 PM

Flexible Schedule Options: Choose 4 (10-hour) shifts or 5 (8-hour) shifts

Essential Functions

  • Design and build concrete forms.

  • Read construction plans, concrete details, and perform layout from survey information.

  • Set forms to hold concrete in place.

  • Properly install reinforcement, including wire mesh and rebar.

  • Clean and inspect surfaces prior to concrete placement.

  • Direct concrete placement with ready-mix truck drivers.

  • Pour, smooth, level, and finish concrete using rakes, screeds, floats, trowels, and power finishing equipment.

  • Safely operate power vibrators to properly compact concrete.

  • Monitor weather conditions and curing processes to ensure quality results.

  • Apply sealers and hardening compounds.

  • Construct expansion joints using joiners and edging tools.

  • Polish concrete surfaces using power surfacing equipment.

  • Apply decorative finishes, including stains, colors, and decorative aggregates.

  • Supervise and train crew members in proper finishing techniques and tool usage.

  • Stay current with advancements in concrete technology and equipment.

  • Communicate clearly with equipment operators using verbal instructions and hand signals.

  • Follow written and verbal instructions from project leads.

  • Operate small handheld power tools safely.

  • Comply with all company policies, safety standards, PPE requirements, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a concrete laborer or mason.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.

  • Excellent time management, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to travel to various job sites and suppliers as needed.

  • Valid driver's license.

  • Ability to successfully pass a criminal background investigation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with a variety of concrete mixes and finishes.

  • Ability to operate small equipment, including skid steers, mini excavators, and forklifts.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Good physical fitness and stamina.

  • Experience operating power tools and construction machinery.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and construction plans.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

  • Work outdoors year-round in varying weather conditions.

  • Ability to work in trenches and confined spaces.

  • Flexibility to work any shift, including weekends and holidays, as business needs require.

  • Lift, push, and carry more than 50 pounds without assistance.

  • Perform prolonged standing, walking, bending, climbing, squatting, twisting, shoveling, and other physically demanding tasks.

  • Maintain manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination.

  • Frequently reach above and below shoulder level.

  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and teamwork.
