Duties:
Planning, organizing and controlling projects (commercial & agricultural) from start to finish
Layout the building on site per plans
Lead and work with crew members on the following tasks:
set forms for footings, add rebar/reinforcements per plan, and pour footings
form, pour, and strip wall forms
grade, form, and pour interior and exterior flatwork for interior floor, exterior slabs, sidewalks and free stall barns.
Management of day to day operations on site. Work closely with project team to ensure proper staffing, materials, and equipment are on site to meet project deadlines
Work with subcontractors to coordinate schedules and work areas.
Monitor quality control and safety standards for crew members and subcontractors
Keep Supervisor informed with job progress, communicate problems and problem solve as needed
Complete daily paperwork such as daily reports, timecards, quality control sheets, etc.
Assist with training crew members
Operate concrete equipment and hand tools
Operate skid loaders, forklifts, and other small construction equipment
Lead crew of 4-5 people
Detailed workmanship
Efficiently work in a fast-paced environment
Requirements
Any combination of education and experience that demonstrates the knowledge and ability to perform the work
Available to travel - usually within the state of WI
Ability to lift heavy objects (0-80 lbs from ground to waist level, 0-50 lbs from ground to shoulder level)
Ability to walk, stand, stoop and bend for long periods of time while performing physical labor
Ability to work outdoors in variable weather conditions
Must possess skills to multi-task and meet deadlines
Read and understand blueprints
Effective written and oral communication skills
Comfortable using tablets and smart phones
Committed to maintaining a safe work environment
Ownership mentality
Valid driver’s license
Must obtain Class A CDL within 60 days of employment
