Concrete Laborer
We are seeking a Concrete Laborer to join our team and support the day-to-day operations of our construction projects. This role focuses on assisting concrete crews with site preparation, concrete placement, and finishing activities on heavy civil and infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities
- Assist with concrete work including site preparation, form setup, rebar placement, pouring, and finishing support
- Prepare and clean job sites before and after concrete pours, including grading, compacting, and material staging
- Support crews with placing, spreading, leveling, and curing concrete
- Load, unload, and transport materials such as tools, forms, and reinforcement materials
- Operate hand and power tools to support forming, pouring, and finishing activities
- Assist with setting and stripping forms, tying rebar, and installing embeds or anchor bolts
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, especially around active pour operations
- Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Work closely with foremen, finishers, and crew members to ensure quality and productivity standards are met
- Adapt to changing site conditions, including weather and scheduling around concrete pours
- Drive continuous improvement and support efficient, high-quality concrete operations
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in construction required; concrete or heavy civil experience preferred
- Basic understanding of concrete processes (forming, pouring, finishing, curing) preferred
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn and grow in concrete construction
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting/carrying up to 50 pounds and working in all weather conditions
- Basic math and measurement skills
- Ability to follow directions and work independently or as part of a crew
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or travel as needed
