Were looking for a technician who pairs craft with consistency. Youll prepare forms, guide pours, and deliver clean, durable finishes on driveways, walkways, sidewalks, roads, and curbsall while keeping the site organized, safe, and efficient.
Key outcomes
- Accurate placement and leveling using wood and aluminum screeds.
- Specified finishes using floats, trowels, edgers, and brooms.
- Formwork set to proper pitch and depth for sidewalks, curbs/gutters, walls, pillars, and more.
- Clean stripping and maintenance of forms after use.
- Correct slump assessment; precise calculations and ordering of concrete.
- Reinforcement installed (rebar/wire mesh) and expansion joints placed.
- Controlled saw cuts in concrete and asphalt.
- Active participation in heavy highway and related construction tasks requiring strenuous manual labor.
- Daily housekeeping and site security to remove hazards.
- Consistent use of proper tools/equipment and adherence to all safety procedures; PPE worn at all times.
- Operation of trucks or other moving equipment when needed.
- Other assigned responsibilities completed as projects evolve.
Capabilities and experience
- Minimum 2 years of construction experience.
- Minimum 3 years of concrete placement/finishing experience.
- Ability to follow OSHA standards; strong safety focus.
- Knowledge of construction practices, equipment, and OSHA guidelines.
- Team-oriented approach; willing to support coworkers and supervisors.
- Current, valid drivers license with company-acceptable driving history.
- Ability to follow oral and written directions from supervisors and managers.
