SUMMARY Reporting to the Division Vice President of Operations (concrete), the project manager is responsible for all facets of project management including the budgeting, scheduling, tracking, procurement, document control. quality, and the managing of multiple concrete/general construction projects. Duties include the coordinating, and integration of multiple projects, and collaboration of people, suppliers, and stakeholders. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Manage all construction activities coordinating work and schedules with division leaders and the project teamEvaluate and determine appropriate construction methods and strategies employing the most cost-effective plan and scheduleReview drawings and specifications, monitor progress, and ensure compliance with plans and schedulesAssist with the preparation of competitive job estimates by interpreting drawings and bid documentsAssist with, develop, and write sub-contracts and purchase orders as required.Establish, track, and manage project schedule ensuring critical path requirements are achievedManage submittal process, ensuring that all submittal information is reviewed and routed for necessary approvalEnsure project financial success by establishing and managing project budgets; prepare and report on job cost, actively working to ensure project profitabilityWork closely with operations management and field operations manager regarding resources required to meet project scheduleAssist with safety complianceEnsure all project and payroll financial documentation is submitted timely throughout the work weekWeekly site visits to project jobsites for coordination with project superintendentPrimary point of contact and management of site superintendent for your assigned projectsDirect communication with project owners, construction managers, and project teamsResponsible to attend onsite coordination meetings and project-specific meetings SKILLS The ability to read and understand construction drawings, specifications, contracts, manuals, technical correspondence, and written instructionsKnowledge of construction computer programs and softwareExperience in contracts and construction procurement processFirm grasp of job estimates components, the drawings, and specifications to properly relate back to the estimateUnderstanding of full lifecycle of contracts from initial award through contract closeout.Knowledge of workforce planning and manpower resource allocatingSolid communications skills to write reports, prepare business letters, expositions and summariesOrganization skills to coordinate and integrate projects, people, suppliers, and stakeholdersThe ability to develop and maintain positive internal and external collaborative relationships with local community/cultural organizationsThe ability to be extremely observant with strict attention to detailThe ability to determine alternative work methods as neededSuperior communication skills and proven record of delivering exceptional customer service and ability to negotiateKeenly aware of details QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree or equivalent in construction managementMinimum 5 years project management experience working in commercial construction concrete projectsCapable of working with a diverse workforceProficient in Microsoft OfficeKnowledge of construction management programs (Procore is a plus)Proficient in accounting software (ComputerEase is a plus)Valid drivers' license with the ability to be underwritten by Jostin insuranceTravel is requiredOSHA 10/30 is a plus
