POSITION SUMMARY

The position is accountable for the operation of a Concrete Pump Truck that transfers concrete to job sites into the most demanding construction applications. Our fleet consists of late model Schwing 32 to 43 Meter pumps.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

• Drives concrete pump trucks to and from each project site in a punctual and responsible manner. • Evaluates site conditions and establishes communication with the superintendent to park and set up the truck properly. • Operates boom and concrete pump to place concrete in desired locations, placing special focus on provided instructions. • Loads and unloads concrete pump attachments and ensures that all associated tools are used in a safe manner. • Cleans concrete pumps at the end of the day to ensure that they remain in good working condition and to minimize breakdowns and downtimes. • Ascertains that all safety and precautionary measures are put into place before, during, and after each project. • Operates all equipment in a safe and efficient manner. • Keeps daily log of vehicle and job performance. • Responsible and accountable for incumbents own personal safety.

OTHER RELATED DUTIES

• Performs other related administrative and technical duties that may be assigned or requested by immediate supervision, such as certification training, safety training, procedure review, etc.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

A minimum of 2 years related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Commercial Driver License is required. High school education preferred.

IN ADDITION TO THE ABOVE REQUIREMENTS

• Current CDL Class B is required; Class A is a plus. • Must pass DOT physical and drug screen. • Clean driving record with no accidents. • Team player with positive attitude. • Ability to work under pressure in stressful environments. • Availability to work flexible hours based on production needs.

SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

The incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable workplace accommodation.

• The individual must also be able to wear and properly utilize appropriate personal protective equipment if required to work or visit the jobsite. • This may include hard hat safety glasses, respirators, ear plugs, steel-toed shoes, personal flotation devices, or other equipment as required by the work performed and location. • The individual must also have the ability to identify critical issues and formulate action plans with all levels of management. • Must be capable of remaining calm during emergencies and respond appropriately as dictated by the circumstance of the incident and as directed by the Safety Representative or other management personnel. • Must be capable of evacuating the work area in a timely manner should an emergency situation arise.
