Build surfaces that last in Canby, OR

We believe great concrete is crafted, not just poured. As our Concrete Surface Finishing Craftsman, you’ll ensure every slab, sidewalk, driveway, curb, and apron meets exacting standards for performance and appearance.

Your impact

You turn drawings into reality—setting grades and slopes, coordinating pours, and delivering finishes that stand up to weather and wear. You protect new work with the right curing and treatments, and you restore surfaces with skilled repairs when needed.

How you’ll do it

  • Prepare, clean, and stage placement areas; verify alignment, elevation, and level before concrete arrives.
  • Mix, pour, place, and spread concrete in accordance with project specifications.
  • Use the right tools at the right time: screeds, bull floats, hand trowels, edgers, jointers, plus walk‑behind and ride‑on trowels.
  • Produce a full spectrum of finishes: broom, steel trowel, hard‑trowel, exposed aggregate, and stamped textures.
  • Establish and confirm grades, slope/pitch, and tolerances; read and execute pour plans and technical drawings.
  • Apply curing methods, sealers, hardeners, and other surface treatments to protect and enhance durability.
  • Perform saw cutting, patching, and surface repairs; resolve cold joints, edge issues, and imperfections.
  • Coordinate with form setters and ready‑mix suppliers on timing, slump, and pour sequencing.
  • Inspect results and fine‑tune for quality; maintain tools and a clean, safe site while following safety protocols.
  • Work closely with teammates to meet deadlines; train and mentor apprentices or laborers.

What sets you up for success

  • Verified experience as a concrete finisher or equivalent role.
  • Thorough understanding of finishing techniques, tools, and equipment.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, pour plans, and technical drawings accurately.
  • Strong physical stamina; comfortable working outdoors in all weather.
  • Detail‑oriented, quality‑driven approach to craftsmanship.
  • Team communication skills and collaborative attitude.
  • Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.
