Position OverviewVision IT is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Conference Services – Field Technician to support mission-critical operations at Los Angeles Air Force Base (LAAFB). This onsite role is responsible for providing technical support for conference rooms, audiovisual systems, VTC platforms, and end-user technologies in a secure DoD environment.The ideal candidate will possess strong troubleshooting skills, excellent customer service, and experience supporting classified and unclassified conferencing technologies within a Department of Defense environment.This is a temporary, full-time position to provide backfill coverage for an employee on military leave. The anticipated duration is approximately 10+ months but may be subject to change depending on the employee's return date. This position is not eligible for conversion to permanent status.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide onsite technical support for conference rooms, executive meetings, and VTC sessionsConfigure, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain audiovisual (AV) equipment and collaboration technologiesSupport Microsoft Teams, Zoom for Government, Cisco Webex, and other conferencing platformsPerform setup and teardown of conference room equipment, including displays, microphones, cameras, speakers, and control systemsDiagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network connectivity issuesCoordinate with customers and leadership to ensure successful meeting executionMaintain operational readiness of conference room technologies and associated equipmentDocument incidents, service requests, and technical procedures within ticketing systemsSupport desktop and peripheral troubleshooting as neededEnsure compliance with DoD cybersecurity and information assurance policiesProvide white-glove customer support for senior leadership and mission partnersRequired QualificationsActive Secret Security Clearance (required prior to start)CompTIA Security+ certification (current and compliant with DoD 8570/8140 requirements)Experience supporting conference room technologies, audiovisual systems, or IT field servicesStrong knowledge of:Microsoft Windows environmentsVideo teleconferencing systemsAV hardware and troubleshootingNetwork connectivity and peripheral supportExcellent communication and customer service skillsAbility to work independently in a fast-paced operational environmentMust be able to lift and move AV/IT equipment as requiredPreferred QualificationsExperience supporting Department of Defense or Federal Government environmentsFamiliarity with Crestron, Extron, Poly, Cisco, or similar AV/control systemsKnowledge of ITIL practices and ticketing systems such as ServiceNowAdditional certifications such as Network+, CCNA, or Microsoft certificationsWhy Vision IT?At Vision IT, we lead with People First, ensuring our employees and customers thrive.
