The HR Director will lead the full HR function, overseeing talent acquisition, retention, employee relations, payroll, benefits, safety, and HR strategy while managing a team of direct reports. This role requires a hands-on, execution-oriented HR leader with experience supporting operational workforces, including warehouse and driver populations, in a fast-paced onsite environment.



Client Details

Our client is a confidential company in the distribution and operations sector seeking a hands-on HR Director to lead people strategy, talent, employee relations, and compliance for a large workforce.

Reporting directly to senior leadership, the HR Director will own the full people function, lead a team of HR professionals, and play a critical role in business operations.

The successful candidate will be a hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and is equally comfortable developing strategy and executing day-to-day initiatives.

Progressive HR leadership experience in distribution, transportation, logistics, or manufacturing is required. Demonstrated experience overseeing workforce safety programs and ensuring compliance within an operational environment is a must.

This position is five days a week on-site in New York City with parking provided.













Description

  • Lead and develop HR team.
  • Serve as a strategic business partner to leadership on all people-related matters.
  • Drive recruiting, onboarding, retention, and workforce planning initiatives across the organization.
  • Provide guidance and leadership on employee relations matters, conflict resolution, and performance management.
  • Oversee workforce safety programs and collaborate with leadership to promote a safe and compliant workforce.
  • Analyze HR metrics and workforce trends to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Oversee payroll and benefits administration, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and a positive employee experience
