Overview

Configuration Management Analyst (H40-2026-25250)

Bowhead seeks a Configuration Management Analyst to support a newly awarded contract in Dahlgren, VA. This contract will provide configuration management (CM), logistics, mechanical and electrical engineering technician services, field service support, project management, drafting and design, technical writing, and acquisition services to the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD), Unmanned & Expeditionary Weapon Systems (H40) Division and Intelligent Automation (H60) Division.

Responsibilities

Job Duties to include but are not limited to: 

  • Develop, implement, and maintain CM plans, policies, processes, and procedures in accordance with industry standards and best practices (e.g., NAVSEAINST 9410.2A, MIL-HDBK-61A).
  • Manage and maintain configuration control of software and hardware baselines, including version control, change management, and release management.
  • Create, review, and maintain CM documentation, including Hardware Version Descriptions (HVD), Drawing Trees, Technical Data Packages (TDP), and software build procedures.
  • Administer and utilize CM tools and databases such as JIRA, Solidworks PDM, SharePoint, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Associates (or higher) in business or related degree AND 4 years professional experience of which includes three (3) years in configuration management; demonstrating a thorough and comprehensive knowledge of configuration management principles, methods, and techniques; evaluating change documentation and developing impact assessments for planned configuration changes; maintaining integrity and traceability of configurations throughout the product’s Life-Cycle.
  • One (1) year experience with systems engineering and work management tools such as Dynamic Object Oriented Requirements System (DOORS), Atlassian Jira, and/or SolidWorks Enterprise Product Data Management (PDM).
  • Experience with formal Change Control Boards (CCB) and Change Review Boards (CRB), related to Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), Specification Change Notices (SCNs), Source Code Documents (SCDs), Problem Reports (PRs), and Request for Deviations (RFDs) and Request for Waivers (RFWs).
  • Familiarity with the following: C/C++ Software Language, Linux Software.
  • Proficiency in the utilization of the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
  • Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
  • Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level.  US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
