Configuration Management Engineer (early career)

About the role:

As a Configuration Management Engineer, you will provide operational support, troubleshooting, data stewardship, and user guidance for configuration management (CM) and related repository processes. It helps resolve daily issues, supports data accuracy, coordinates escalations, and assists engineering and development teams with production and testing scenarios.

You will report to the Senior Manager, Configuration and work a mobile/hybrid role based in Cranberry, PA, Rock Hill, SC or Columbia, SC. No relocation is offered for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Grow understanding of nuclear CM procedures.
• Perform data updates in the configuration management software application, to maintain accurate and reliable CM information across the organization.
• Answer organizational questions related to CM and software processes, and data.
• Resolve issues identified by engineering and coordinate follow-up through completion.
• Delegate higher-level issues or discussions to the appropriate CM resource for resolution.
• Help with CM software testing in a sandbox testing environment.
• Identify recurring issue trends and communicate them with the CM software product owner for review and resolution.
• Approve or grant CM software user access and troubleshoot access-related problems.
• Perform data mining and reporting activities to support data corrections and process improvements.
• Communicate with other repositories of data changes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in engineering from an accredited institution; degree may be in any engineering discipline.
• 0+ years experience
• Manage support requests, prioritize issues, and escalate

HELPFUL

• Familiarity with CM software, Configuration Management, Requirements Management, engineering change processes, or related data repositories.
• Maintain operational data
• Recreate production issues in sandbox or test environments.
• Provide training or guidance to end-users.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $58,400 to $80,000 per year.
