Conservation Technician IV - Waterway Management

The Shoreline and Waterway Management Section helps protect and maintain Delaware's waterways by performing dredging, macroalgae harvesting, channel marking, and removing hazards to navigation. This hands-on field position involves transporting materials and equipment with trucks and trailers and operating heavy equipment such as skid steers, front-end loaders, dozers, and marine vessels. Additional duties may include assisting in Shoreline Management and Sand Bypass operations in various capacities. Candidates with basic mechanic, carpentry, electrical, and plumbing skills are encouraged to apply and must be comfortable working on boats and around water in a variety of outdoor conditions as part of a dedicated DNREC field crew based at the Lewes Facility.
