What We Can Achieve Together:

The Conservation Trust Fund Specialist role is an exciting opportunity to help shape and launch high-impact Conservation Trust Funds that will secure long-term financing for nature across multiple countries, working closely with TNC's global finance teams, country programs, and partners to design, develop, and operationalize these funds while driving forward major Project Finance for Permanence and Nature Bonds initiatives; the Specialist will lead and support project management across complex, multicultural teams, facilitate multi-stakeholder processes, analyze legal and institutional frameworks, co-develop governing documents and technical materials, coordinate technical assistance, strengthen CTF operations, deliver capacity-building programs, represent TNC in strategic negotiations and meetings, and guide the successful implementation of CTF work streams from planning through execution, all while navigating dynamic challenges, solving complex problems, and contributing to innovative conservation finance models that protect ecosystems for generations to come; the position offers significant autonomy, collaboration with global leaders, and the chance to influence conservation outcomes at scale, with flexible location options in any country where TNC is registered and established.

We are looking for a conservation finance specialist with project manager skills who is comfortable working at a global level on large and complex projects within a matrixed organization, ideally with familiarity and experience working with CTFs. You would be part of a dedicated global team working on efforts to impact conservation throughout the world!

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in conservation, business, finance, policy, or other related field and 4 years related experience, or equivalent combination.
  • Experience organizing and managing complex projects or strategic initiatives in an unstructured environment.
  • Experience researching, critically analyzing, and evaluating information from divergent sources and compiling it into cohesive reports and recommendations for strategy and action.
  • Experience writing and editing promotional and informational material.

Experience working in a CTF or for a CTF is highly desirable.

Salary Information:

This position may be based in any country where TNC has an established entity, taking into consideration legal restrictions, such as non-national ratios and immigration processing times. For U.S. based applicants only, the starting pay range for this position is generally within the range of $77,860 - $103,785 for annual base salary and is based on location, qualifications, specific skills, and experience. This range only applies to candidates whose country of employment is the USA. For all other applicants, pay ranges will be in local currency, the pay range will be based on the local labor market, and not tied to the above pay range. Your geographic location will be confirmed during the recruitment and used to determine your actual pay range. Additionally, for all applicants, actual pay will fall within a range based on a variety of factors including, for example, the candidate's qualifications, specific skills, and experience.
