Construction Administrator

Rohadfox Construction Control Services is looking for a Construction Administrator who shall support the effective delivery of the capital infrastructure program at the Charlotte Douglas Airport through monitoring project scope, budget, and schedule performance during construction. Will be open to assisting with relocation for the right person.

The Construction Administrator will conduct the following tasks and assume the following responsibilities at the direction of the Sr. Project Control Specialist: 

• Reviews and approves contractor weekly and monthly project control reports for compliance with contract. Weekly Reports includes Safety Statics, Environment report, QC Non-Conformance log, Material Procurement log, four-week look-ahead schedule and potential change log. Monthly Report includes progress narrative, weather tracking, cash flow forecast, and risk register. 
• Reviews and approve contract monthly pay application. Responsible to verify quantities vs Inspector reporting, verify required supporting documentation including certified payroll, sales tax receipts and lien waivers. Updates pay application template with approved quantities and provide to contractor for follow month’s application.
• Maintains Contract Contingency Tracker 
• Develops and maintain potential change log.
• Supports Change Order process by facilitating all owner required procurement and change management processes.
• Processes contract budget changes when required.
• Updates construction contract cash flow monthly in overall program cash flow model.
• Track contract actuals, variances from planned and contract encumbrance balance.
• Coordinates and verifies GIS Construction Phasing Dashboard is accurate for assigned construction packages.
• Prepares reports and performance dashboards for a variety of project controls metrics, analyzes data and creates and/or participates in client presentations.
• Assists with defining project risks, escalates project risks when required and supports project team to create and implement mitigation plans.
• Verifies project team is complying with Owner Project Controls processes, procedures, templates, and utilizing the Program Management Information System (PMIS) as required. 
• Attends weekly Contractor, Engineer, and Owner Construction Progress meetings. 
• Performs other duties as assigned.

The Construction Administrator shall have the following qualifications: 

1. Proficiency with MS Office tools including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 
2. Previous experience working in a construction office environment; experience working on airport infrastructure projects a plus
3. Experience with Trimble Unity Construct or similar project management software.
4. Minimum 7+ years' experience in a similar role or 10 + years showing experience progression towards a similar role
5. Excels in a fast-paced environment and detailed oriented.
6. Strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Self-motivated and willingness to lean to programs and procedures
9. Ability to work with diverse groups and explain Project Control concepts to others.
