Job Details- Draft and negotiate design, engineering, consulting, construction, right-of-entry, access, and project closeout agreements.
- Advise owners and developers on construction claims, project risk, contractual remedies, and dispute avoidance.
- Resolve construction-related disputes outside formal arbitration and litigation.
- Apply New York construction case law and New York Lien Law to active projects and claims.
- Support client education, business development, mentoring, and practice-group initiatives.
Candidate Profile
- At least five years of significant construction-law experience in a law firm.
- Substantial owner- and developer-side experience involving commercial and residential projects.
- Exceptional contract drafting, negotiation, communication, and academic credentials.
- J.D. from an accredited law school; active and good-standing New York Bar membership.
Preferred Experience
- Broader transactional real estate experience in development, acquisitions and dispositions, leasing, or financing.
