Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Construction Building Superintendent for a contract-to-hire opportunity with our client. This position will oversee field construction activities for manufacturing facilities, hangars, and other commercial/industrial building projects.

Projects may include site grading, underground utilities, concrete, structural steel, vertical construction, TI buildouts, mechanical, and electrical systems.

Must be willing and able to travel throughout the United States without restrictions.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall field supervision of construction activities, subcontractors, and self-perform crews.

• Oversee site work, underground utilities, concrete, structural steel, framing, roofing, interior finishes, plumbing, HVAC, fire protection, and electrical systems.

• Manage field activities to maintain project safety, quality, schedule, productivity, and contractual requirements.

• Coordinate subcontractors and review three-week look-ahead schedules to identify potential issues.

• Maintain QA/QC documentation, inspection logs, punch lists, daily reports, progress photos, and as-built drawings.

• Coordinate with project management, clients, architects/engineers, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders.

• Review drawings and specifications and verify current revisions are being used in the field.

• Assist with RFIs, field changes, material coordination, and project turnover documentation.

• Enforce project safety requirements and review required site safety documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of relevant construction management or craft supervision experience; OR

• Associate degree with 9+ years of relevant experience; OR

• High School Diploma/GED with 11+ years of relevant experience.

• Experience supervising commercial, industrial, manufacturing, or similar building construction projects.

• Strong knowledge of civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing construction.

• Strong leadership, communication, subcontractor management, and safety skills.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software.

• Must meet company driving requirements.

• Must be willing and able to travel nationwide without restrictions.
