    Description

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    Wood is currently searching for a talented Engineering Intern (such as Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, ect.) to support our Subsea Construction / Commissioning group in the Houston, TX office. The Engineering Intern will assist Engineers & other Group personnel in developing and delivering work scopes. The internship duration is expected to be 10-12 weeks. Due to the nature of the role, Wood will be considering local, qualified candidates first (Wood will not assist in relocation).

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Responsibilities:
    • Assist with the performance of design / concept & engineering of the project solutions
    • Assist with the preparation and checking of engineering reports and procedures
    • Interact with department members to ensure that work is produced and issued in a timely manner and project information is distributed amongst them
    • Contribute to lessons learned exercises
    • Support local field work at vendor sites in an oversite capacity
    • Establish good rapport and build relationships with peers and clients by responding to requests and communicating information in a timely manner
    • Comply with all company policies including safety policies.


    QUALIFICATIONS

    Qualifications:
    • Working on Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (such as Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, ect);
    • Previous internship experience in Oil & Gas a strong asset
    • Excellent communication (written and spoken) and interpersonal skills
    • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
    • Strong analytical and trouble shooting skills
    • Ability to work in a fast paced and flexible environment
