Construction Contract Manager
Salary: $90,000–$110,000, based on experience
Location: Ballston Spa, NY
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Construction Contract Manager to oversee the full lifecycle of construction contracts, from bid preparation through project closeout. In this role, you will collaborate with executive leadership, project teams, and outside legal counsel to negotiate contract terms, manage contractual obligations, reduce organizational risk, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Your expertise will support the successful execution of complex infrastructure and construction projects.
Key Responsibilities

  • Review, draft, negotiate, and administer contracts with owners, subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and other project stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with outside legal counsel to negotiate contract terms and resolve commercial and contractual issues.
  • Manage contracts throughout their lifecycle, including amendments, change orders, renewals, compliance monitoring, and final closeout.
  • Maintain accurate and organized contract documentation while tracking contractual milestones, obligations, and deadlines.
  • Provide guidance to project teams and management regarding contract interpretation, risk mitigation, and contractual compliance.
  • Develop and maintain standardized contract templates, procedures, and best practices to improve consistency and efficiency.
  • Review bids, proposals, and contract documents to ensure compliance with owner specifications, company standards, and applicable regulations.
  • Administer bid bonds, performance and payment bonds, insurance certificates, and other contractual security requirements from bid submission through project completion.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of five years of experience in contract administration, contract management, procurement, construction administration, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience reviewing, negotiating, and administering construction contracts.
  • Strong knowledge of public procurement processes and construction contract documentation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to evaluate legal and commercial risk while supporting practical business objectives.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
