Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, develop, and revise contracts
- Review project procurement documents and assist with legal review
- Assist in contract negotiations with owner and subcontractors
- Prepare and maintain corporate records and documents
- Coordinate insurance documentation and bond requirements
- Assist with debt collection and enforcement activities, including demands, claims, notices, and litigation
- Assist with preparation and filing of legal documents
- Assist with all aspects of claims management: submission, incident investigation, review of records, and closure
- Act as the liaison with all insurance companies, legal counsel, staff, claimants, and other involved parties
Experience & Education
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a construction-related industry, or civil paralegal work
- Experience in construction law preferred
- Experience with AIA documents
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Strong understanding of contract language and terminology
- Demonstrated capability in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts
- Working knowledge of claims processes including worker's compensation, general liability, and auto preferred
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
