Growing construction-related organization is seeking a hands-on Controller to oversee accounting and finance operations while partnering closely with executive leadership. This role offers broad exposure across financial reporting, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, compliance, and operational accounting within a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Job Details

Responsibilities
  • Lead day-to-day accounting operations including AP, AR, payroll, cash management, and general ledger functions
  • Oversee month-end close and preparation of financial reporting packages
  • Ensure strong internal controls, financial accuracy, and compliance
  • Partner with executive leadership on reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis
  • Oversee payroll processing and vendor/payment workflows
  • Maintain accurate customer billing and receivables processes
  • Support audit preparation, compliance activities, and financial data integrity
  • Help improve accounting procedures, reporting processes, and operational efficiencies
  • Lead and mentor accounting staff while promoting accountability and team development

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
  • 5+ years of Controller or senior-level accounting leadership experience
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, accounting operations, and internal controls
  • Experience overseeing AP, AR, payroll, and month-end close
  • Construction, project-based, manufacturing, agriculture, or industrial industry experience preferred
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
  • ERP/accounting systems experience preferred
