K&K is seeking a Construction Project Engineer to lead industrial equipment installation and facility projects within a manufacturing environment. This role manages projects from scope through completion, ensuring safety, schedule, and budget performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead equipment installation and modification projects end-to-end
  • Develop scope and support contract & field order negotiations
  • Oversee installation of:
    • Robot/jig cells, conveyors, transfer systems
    • HVAC, exhaust, cooling water, lighting, utilities
    • Hoists, overhead rail, AGVs (as applicable)
  • Manage general contractors, subcontractors, and vendors
  • Coordinate with engineering, operations, and plant leadership
  • Monitor safety, schedule, and budget performance
  • Conduct onsite inspections and ensure spec compliance
  • Support machine specs and procurement activities
  • Drive resolution of field issues and maintain project momentum
  • Provide project close-out and lessons learned
Requirements
  • Technical school or equivalent experience
  • Industrial construction/project management experience
  • Experience managing contractors and subcontractors
  • Hands-on exposure to industrial equipment (robots, conveyors, HVAC, piping, hoists)
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and time management skills
  • Ability to work off-shifts/weekends as needed
Preferred
  • Automotive manufacturing experience
  • Electrical or controls background
  • Experience with machine specs, procurement, AGVs, or automated systems
Technical Skills
  • Excel, Word, MS Project (required)
  • AutoCAD (required - basic manipulation/printing)
