Construction Coordinator (Telecom/Data Center)
Bowling Green, OH (Onsite)
Long-term contract

Summary:
The Construction Coordinator supports the successful execution of client delivery projects by coordinating daily project activities, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring seamless alignment across teams. This role applies standard PMO methodologies to help deliver projects on time, within scope, and within budget. The ideal candidate is an organized, proactive communicator who thrives on supporting technical teams, interfacing with trade crews, and improving overall project performance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Daily Field Coordination & Execution
  • Task Assignment: Assess daily deliverables and assign field tasks to technicians on-site.
  • Progress Tracking: Maintain real-time visibility into crew productivity, updates, and task tracking using Fieldwire construction management software.
  • Material Logistics: Assist with ordering, gathering, and managing field supplies, materials, and rental equipment.
  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Attend active site meetings and partner closely with Field Technicians, Quality Control/QA inspectors, Project Managers, and General Contractors.
  • Union Environment Coordination: Facilitate daily operations and collaboration when working alongside Union crews.

Project Administration & Documentation
  • PMO Standards: Apply established PMO processes, compliance rules, and methodologies consistently across all assigned projects.
  • Document Control: Create, update, and maintain meticulous project documentation, tracking schedules, timelines, requirements gathering, and change-control data.
  • Communication Hub: Serve as a primary point of contact between stakeholders, external vendors, and internal teams. Prepare agendas, PowerPoint presentations, and reports.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze incoming project data—including resource utilization, schedules, and delivery performance metrics—to build recurring and ad hoc reports for operations leadership.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience: 3–5 years of dedicated construction coordination or project assistance experience, specifically within the telecom services / low-voltage industry.
  • Domain Knowledge: Solid understanding of telecom infrastructure projects, terminology, and workflows, including inside plant (ISP) new builds, structured cabling (CAT 6/Fiber), cable patching, trunking, and rack-and-stack architectures.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field (Equivalent professional experience will be considered in lieu of a degree).
  • Software Proficiency:
    • Required: Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and MS Teams.
  • Soft Skills: High adaptability with transitioning priorities, an excellent "can-do" collaborative attitude, and superb written and verbal communication skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Construction Systems: Hands-on working knowledge of Fieldwire (strongly desired).
  • Labor Environment: Demonstrated experience working comfortably alongside Union crews and labor structures.
  • Advanced Tools: Familiarity with PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint, MS Project, PPM tools, ERP platforms, ServiceNow, or Salesforce.com.
  • Specialized Builds: Past exposure to data center construction environments or large-scale network infrastructure retrofits.
