Job Description:
Basic Details:
Title: Construction Coordinator
Location: TMMWV, 1 Sugar Maple Ln, Buffalo, WV 25033
Remote/On-site/Hybrid: On-site
Local or non-local: Local candidates’ priority
Working hours: Rotational shift (depending on the business need) Might be overtime. (Late evening and Nights as well
Overtime: Yes, during weekdays, weekends, shutdown, holidays and odd hours.
Travel: Yes
What percentage or how often: 50%-100%
Where will they need to travel: Only Domestic
Will it be for meetings/observation: Meetings, observations and hands-on job duties
Experience level: More than 10 years
Role:
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required; candidates with equivalent experience are eligible to apply.
  • Seeking a construction professional committed to a long-term role.
  • Required experience: supervisor, superintendent, or construction manager.
  • Strong hands-on proficiency with Bluebeam or similar tools (e.g., Adobe) is required.
  • Must have recent experience in commercial or industrial construction; candidates with residential building experience will be rejected.
  • Proficiency in MS Project is required for creating and reviewing project plans; strong MS Excel skills are also acceptable.
  • OSHA 30 certification or higher is required.
  • Role requires an expert problem-solver responsible for quality inspections (concrete, slabs, vertical structures, electrical tasks, etc.).
  • Ensure work meets high quality and accuracy standards consistent with Our Client requirements.
  • Clear communication skills required; candidate will act as a bridge between field teams and project leadership.
  • Project scope: renovation and refurbishment of existing facilities (childcare centres, cafés, offices, restrooms, etc.) and new construction at Our Client sites in West Virginia and other U.S. plants.
Requirements:
What we’re looking for:
  • Construction Coordinator with extensive construction experience, preferably as a superintendent or construction manager at a general contractor of Owner representative company, and 10+ years of experience.
  • Able to review drawings and specifications to ensure work is completed in accordance with the construction documents.
  • Able to read and review construction schedules, create 3-week lookaheads, and conduct whiteboard meetings to identify constraints, assign responsibility, and escalate issues to the Project Leader.
  • Responsible for conducting quality inspections and supporting commissioning activities, including Kanban.
  • Must have extensive safety oversight experience and be OSHA 30 certified.
  • Conduct constructability reviews to see if drawings/specifications are good quality and don’t have conflicts/ambiguities.
  • Need to be able to work in BlueBeam and Procore and create visual exhibits about the construction progress (Kamishibi).
