Construction Cost Estimator

Oxford Solutions is working with a client seeking a Construction Cost Estimator for a contract-to-hire opportunity. This onsite role is a good fit for an early-career estimator who has a foundation in construction estimating and is looking to continue developing their skills within an experienced team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare construction cost estimates and present findings to leadership.
• Review blueprints, specifications, and technical documents.
• Identify and quantify material, equipment, and labor costs.
• Assist with construction scheduling and project planning.
• Attend project meetings and site visits to gather estimating information.
• Use Microsoft Excel and Bluebeam Revu to support estimating activities.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, contractors, clients, and internal project teams.
• Evaluate project information, quotes, and potential cost risks.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Construction, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• 2+ years of construction cost estimating and/or construction management experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and technical documents.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with Bluebeam Revu strongly preferred.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a deadline-driven environment.
• Occasional local, domestic, or international travel may be required.
