AmeriCorps National members serve the community in direct service and capacity building activities.
What will you do?
The construction crew leader plays an integral part in building and repairing homes. Lead groups of skills and unskilled volunteers and homeowner families in construction activities while maintaining a safe, efficient work environment, thus, developing and enhancing your volunteer management and construction skills.
This position will focus on home construction aspects of Habitat affiliate operations.

Activities and attractions: Nestled in the foothills of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, Santa Fe is known for its vibrant arts scene, rich cultural heritage, historic adobe architecture, and natural beauty. Visitors can spend the day hiking scenic trails, exploring museums and galleries, or exploring the historic Plaza. Santa Fe also serves as an ideal base for day trips to nearby destinations such as Taos, Albuquerque, and Bandelier National Monument.
Unique projects: This AmeriCorps position will support a five-bedroom home and a unique five-unit middle housing, in-fill development in Santa Fe's historic district. This work will prepare us to take on our biggest initiative in our affiliate's history: the development of our first all-affordable Habitat for Humanity subdivision. The property will provide up to 68 affordable, sustainable, net-zero homes for local families. AmeriCorps members will contribute to these projects while being able to engage with community partners, local government, and public outreach efforts.
When will you serve?
Start dates are flexible and based on this location's availability. Talk to the hiring manager for this position about start dates during your interview process. The start date will be 4-6 weeks from receiving an offer and no earlier than September 2026.
