Qualifications:
Request for Part Time Construction Manager/ Project Manager
A part time construction manager is needed to assist on multiple projects including but not limited to:
Ravenswood temporary water proofing project - Construction of the upper parking deck water proofing and expansion joint installation
Ravenswood permanent water proofing project - Construction of the water proofing, expansion joint installation, seal exterior wall, painting, etc.
Copans building 5 and building 6 roof and structure replacement Plan, design, permitting, construction and closing
All other projects under Asset Management sections.
The project manager will need to have at least 5 years experience in roofing, and water proofing with some landscaping and civil works. The project manager will also has to:
Write Scope of Work
Review and comments design plans, technical specification, cost estimate and others
Coordinate schedule and permitting
Manage all construction activities includes but not limited to site meetings, coordinating with CEI, review payment, track daily inspection report and activities, review site work as needed
Close construction per contract requirement
The project manager will be reporting directly to Shiau Ching, and we will increase the hours as needed.
For this part time position, does BCT envision to be part time with full day work, or part time with full week work Meaning, is the PM required 2-3days /week, or either full mornings or afternoons This will allow us to source the individual better and balance current workloads.
Due to the uncertainty at the construction site, we can start with the part time with 20 hours, 4 hours per day from 8am to noon.
I also understand the preference will be for a local person and we will start looking for one locally, but is BCT open to have the PM remote with periodic travel to BCT
This position needs to be local, and the PM must be familiar with the local ordinance and Florida Building Code. Also, there will be active construction as soon as this position start.
What is the expected duration of this assignment
Currently, I do not have a duration of this assignment as there are a few projects, and some projects will need funding as well. However, we will need this PM for a minimum of 3 months.
