Reputable Chicago-based firm is hiring a Construction Engineer!
Responsibilities:
Oversee inspection of local agency
construction projects (roadway/bridge improvements using local, state, and
federal funding)
Prepare all construction documentation
(per IDOT BLR&S requirements using CMMS, or similar detailed local agency
required documentation)
Measure/calculate pay item quantities
Prepare contractor pay applications
Oversee preparation of construction
record drawings
Communicate daily/weekly with clients
Prepare for and facilitate pre construction meetings
Requirements:
B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or
Construction Management
5+ years of construction experience
PE License
Certified in IDOT’s Documentation of
Contract Quantities
MicroStation experience preferred
Salary
is commensurate with experience.
