Construction Engineer

Midwest multi -disciplined engineering firm is looking to add a Construction Engineer to their Rockford team!<\/span><\/span>

<\/p>

Responsibilities:<\/span><\/span>
<\/p>

• Serve as a liaison with contractor<\/span><\/span>
  <\/span><\/li>
• Conduct on -site observation as needed<\/span><\/span>
  <\/span><\/li>
• Coordinate construction activities<\/span><\/span>
  <\/span><\/li>
• Maintain job site records (daily reports, job meeting minutes, approval drawings, and/or pay requests)<\/span><\/span>
  <\/span><\/li>
• <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Observe/document construction activities and maintain a daily log of construction activities<\/span><\/span>
  <\/span><\/li>
• Monitor progress schedule/shop drawing log<\/span><\/span>
  <\/span><\/li>
• <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Review pay requests/verify completed work<\/span><\/span>
  <\/span><\/li>
• Perform general civil engineering and client service duties<\/span><\/span>
  <\/span><\/li><\/ul>

  <\/p>

  Requirements:<\/span><\/span>
  <\/p>

  • B.S. degree in Civil/Construction Engineering from an accredited program with an emphasis on construction engineering<\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>
  • 5+ years of progressive experience<\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>
  • PE License or ability to obtain within one year preferred<\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Past IDOT or Illinois Tollway project experience<\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Construction experience with Chicago DOT/Metra preferred<\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Experience with IDOT/Tollway construction management software preferred<\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/li><\/ul>

    Salary is commensurate with experience.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
