Construction Equipment CSR

A well-established construction equipment dealership in Baton Rouge is seeking a professional and organized Service Writer to help coordinate equipment repairs and communicate with customers throughout the service process.

The Service Writer serves as the connection between customers and the shop technicians. This person will gather information about equipment problems, open and maintain repair orders, provide customers with updates, and help ensure service work is properly documented and completed.

Candidates should be comfortable working in a busy service environment and communicating with customers whose equipment may be essential to their business.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and gather information about equipment needing service
• Open, update, and close service work orders
• Record customer concerns, equipment information, serial numbers, and machine hours
• Communicate repair needs and customer concerns to shop technicians
• Provide customers with repair updates and estimated completion times
• Help coordinate labor, parts, scheduling, and equipment pickup
• Review completed work orders for accuracy before billing
• Maintain organized service records and customer information
• Answer phones and respond professionally to customer questions
• Work closely with the service, parts, sales, and rental departments
