Construction Estimator - Wooster, Ohio - JOB 26-00591

Salary Range: $80k - $125k Full-Time Permanent Position with Benefits

A Wooster, Ohio area design and build construction firm that seeks to hire and experienced Construction Estimator who will prepare estimates for a variety of commercial and industrial buildings.

Responsibilities

• The estimator will requisition all shop drawings/submittals through the purchase ordering process.
• The estimator will be the administrative contact with project Owners and representatives.
• Monitor contractual issues, the bulletin/change order process, billings, and payments due from owner to ensure payments are received in a timely manner.
• Prepare estimates which includes establishing material quantities, cost of materials, man-hours needed to complete the job, amount, type, and hours of tools and equipment, subcontractor costs, permits/fees and insurance, etc. The Estimator purchases all material, supplies, services and subcontractors on obtained jobs that they estimated.

Requirements

• A Bachelor Degree related to the construction industry is preferred. Time spent earning the degree, up to 4 years, can be applied to the ten years of experience.
• A minimum of ten years' experience in the construction industry, which should include a minimum of 4 years in an Estimating or Project Management related position.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in the construction industry which should include a minimum of 4 years in an Estimating or Project Management related position related to the construction industry is preferred. (Time spent earning the degree, up to 4 years, can be applied to the ten years of experience.
• Advanced knowledge and use of computer spreadsheets, word processing and estimating software, preferably Microsoft Excel.
• Ideal candidate will have 5 years of progressive construction estimating experience.
