Job Description
The Construction Estimator will be responsible for providing accurate bid and build estimates for a mix of residential and commercial projects. This role requires frequent travel to job sites for measurements and project oversight, with a focus on working independently while coordinating with vendors and customers. The estimator will use a combination of manual measurement tools and specialized construction estimating software to ensure precise pricing and effective project management. This position offers opportunities for advancement into project management roles.
Responsibilities
- Prepare bid and build estimates for residential and commercial projects
- Travel weekly to job sites for measurements and project assessments
- Manage projects independently from estimation through completion
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for material procurement
- Provide pricing and consultation to walk-in customers
- Handle loading and unloading of construction materials
- Use construction estimating software and spreadsheets for pricing accuracy
- Maintain clear communication with clients and team members
Preferred Qualifications
- Entry-level experience in construction estimating
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Strong communication skills
